DONATION DROP OFF LOCATIONS FOR 2009

Donations Travis County Brown Santa depends on the generosity of individuals,groups and businesses in the community, like you, to provide items for people in need and those that are less fortunate than others. Since 1981, Travis County Brown Santa has helped thousands of people with more than half of those helped being children.
We accept all non-perishable food times in unopened containers. Some of the main items that are in every food box and needed are; corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, instant potatoes, stuffing mix, cake mix and cake icing.
Donations can be brought to the warehouse located at 15400 Long Vista Drive, Suite 101, located at the corner of Long Vista Drive and Bratton Lane starting November 16, hours of operation will be Mon-Thurs 10a-8pm, Fri/Sat 9a-6p and Sundays 1p-6p. If you can not bring donations to the warehouse, the following locations will be public drop offs:

***PLEASE DO NOT place large donations in the bins at the public drop offs. Large donations need to be brought to the warehouse, if you do not have a way to bring a large donation to the warehouse please call 247-2682 and we will see what we can do to help.
Brown Santa gives toys to each child in the family from age 0 -16 boys and girls. Donations of books, puzzles, stuffed animals, new toys are needed for every age group. The ages that are less donated for are Infants to toddlers (0-2) and 10-16 boys and girls.
Suggested donations for the older kids could be: Wallets, electronics, bath gift sets, basket balls, foot balls, purses, curling irons, hair dryers, hair straightners, ball caps, sock caps, hat and gloves sets, mittens, etc.
Suggested donations for infants to toddlers could be: Receiving blankets, bottle sets, teethers, rattlers, stackable rings , diapers, onesies, etc.
All donations need to be new and unwrapped. We do accept very gently used toys if all pieces are present and are in excellent shape.
Making Financial Donations:
Travis County Brown Santa also accepts monetary donations. All monetary donations assist in the purchase of turkeys and items not donated to complete toy and food boxes, overhead costs and assisting in expanding of our services.
This year Brown Santa is going to assist over 1600 families which will be over 10,000 children and over 20,000 total people. Brown Santa also provides the families a turkey and a complete Christmas dinner, which costs about $25.00 per family, this year Brown Santa needs to raise approximately $40,000.00 to make provide for these families, who otherwise will not have a Christmas. Brown Santa is a 501 C 3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductable.
