8th Annual 5K Run and Kids K

When :   December 11, 2011 

Time:  8:15am for 5K and 10:00am Kids K 


The Travis County Wellness Committee in association with the Austin Runners Club is hosting the 7th annual Brown Santa 5K Run/Walk and Kids K. The Brown Santa race will be held at the Travis County Exposition Center and proceeds will benefit the Travis County Sheriff's Brown Santa Program.  This year any Travis County employee team of 10 members or more will have their team name added to the back of our t-shirts. 

Brown Santa 5K is offered as a competitive (chip-timed) event as well as a fun-run/walk and will begin at 8:15am. The Kids K event will begin at 10:00am. All participating children will recieve a t-shirt and medal upon completion of the race. 

A Wellness Fair & Expo will be from 8am-noon in the Exposition Banquet Hall. 

Regular registration (thru Dec. 11) Chip-Timed $25, Fun Run/Walk $20

Late Registration or Day of Race  (Dec. 11-day of race) Chip-Timed $30, Fun Run/Walk $25

$2 Dollar discount available for Travis County Employees and ARC members.

Kids K open to all children 12 and under with registration on line, during packet pick up or Race Day- $10. Race starts at 10:00am. 


Awards:  Overall male and female, masters (over 40) male and female, and the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,  70 & older. Wheelchair.

All Children who particpate in the Kids-K will recieve their medal when they cross the finish line.

Strollers are permitted, as well as dogs on leashes. Please position yourself for your appropriate pace at the start.

Online Registration is available until 2am, Dec. 11. 

Packet pick up is today from 11am-7pm and Saturday from 10am-6pm at:
