Borders will be doing a book drive and all books will be donated to Travis County Brown Santa. The book drive will start November 14 and will go thru December 24, 2009. Please go by your local Borders and buy a book and drop in the Brown Santa barrel.
Brown Santa needs books for all ages, 0-16 years of age, for boys and girls.

Half Price Books book drive 2009:
Half Price Books will be doing a book drive to benefit Brown Santa. Their drive will be from November 9 through December 16, 2009. While you are out shopping or just stop by to buy a book and drop in the Brown Santa Barrel. Brown Santa provides books to each child ages 0-16 years of age in the familys we sponsor at Christmas.
The following 4 locations will be participating in the drive:

Grinch Baseball Tournament 2009***canceled due to the cold weather this morning but all donations can still be brought to the warehouse****
The Grinch Baseball Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of December 4,5,and 6, 2009. Each child that participates in the tournament will bring a new toy or non perishable food items. All proceeds will be donated to the Travis County Brown Santa. The tournament will take place in the North East Metro Park located at 2703 E. Pecan Street in Pflugerville. Look for the Brown Santa barrels that will be placed at this location for the duration of the tournment to collect the toys.
If you have any questions reference the tournament you may call Deputy James Kitchens at 854-3248 at the Community Services and Outreach Unit of the Sheriff's Office.
Carlos and Charlies Annual Parade of Lights Boat Parade December 5, 2009 ****Postponed until December 12****
Carlos and Charlies at 5923 Hiline Road now thur December 5 bring your toy donation and drop in the Brown Santa barrel. On December 5 from 7pm-11pm will be the Annual Boat Parade of Lights, entry is a donation to Brown Santa. After the parade enjoy the music of the Magnolia Band.
Brown Santa 5k-Run Sunday December 6, 2009
The Travis County Wellness Committee in association with the Austin Runners
Club is hosting the fifth annual Brown Santa 5K Run/Walk and Kids K. The
Brown Santa race will be held at the Travis County Exposition Center and
proceeds will benefit the Travis County Sheriff's Brown Santa Program. For

Cowboy Harley Davidson Toy Run....its time to ride for the kids!
This years Harley Davidson Toy Run will be on Sunday December 13,
2009. Registration begins at 9:00am at Cowboy Harley Davidson located at 10917 South IH 35, 448-4294. The ride will depart at 12pm Cowboy Harley and end at Cindy's Gone Hog Wild located at 5496 East State Hwy 71.

CE-BAR Volunteer Fire Department Inc.
Located at 353 S. Commons Ford Road-----will be doing their annual "Fill the Boot" Drive the weekend of December 12 - 13, 2009. They will be collecting at the following locations:
FM 2244/S Cuernavaca
FM 2244/Creeks Edge Pkway
Sienna Hills Subdivision (intersection in front of subdivision)
If you are in the area over this weekend please drop a cash donation in the boot/s any donation given will help feed over 20,000 people, of which 10,000 are children, in Travis county at Christmas. The donations also go towards the purchase of toys for ages that are less donated. All proceeds are given to Brown Santa, all donations are needed and greatly appreciated. Toy donations can be dropped off at the Fire Station.
