Book Drive

located at 3309 Esperanza Xing, Suite 104 in the Domain Shopping center
off Duval and Mopac
Brown Santa gives each child ages 0-16 a book. For the last couple years
the book donations have been low. Brown Santa encourges reading and
will need books donated this year to provide to over 6000 children.
Each person that stops at this website is encourged to stop by this book store
to help with the donations for this year. Ages for books desperately needed are
for 0-2 years of age, so the parents can read to the child, and for 10-16 years
of age boys and girls. The older children are often forgotten.
Look for the Brown Santa Barrels and Posters in the store starting
November 17, 2008.
Half Price Books - BOOK DRIVE
Half Price Books will be doing a book drive to benefit Brown Santa.
Their drive will be from November 17 through December 18, 2008.
While you are doing some shopping or just stop by to buy a book and
drop in the Brown Barrel. Brown Santa provides books to each child
ages 0-16 years of age in the familys we sponsor at Christmas.
The following 5 locations will be participating in the drive:
5555 North Lamar Blvd.
2929 South Lamar Blvd.
2500 W. Parmer Lane
13492 US Hwy 183 #100 @ Anderson Mill Road
1601 S. IH 35 in Round Rock
TOY DRIVE
The Grinch Baseball Tournament scheduled for the weekend of November
21,22,23, 2008. Each child that participates in the tournament will bring a
new toy or non perishable food items to benefit Brown Santa. The tournament
will take place in the North East Metro Park located at 2703 E. Pecan Street in
Pflugerville. Look for the Brown Santa barrels that will be placed at this location
for the duration of the tournment to collect the toys.
If you have any questions reference the tournament you may call Deputy Kimberly
Orts at 854-3248 at the Community Services and Outreach Unit of the Sheriff's
Office.
Brown Santa 5k-Run
The Travis County Wellness Committee in association with the Austin Runners
Club is hosting the fifth annual Brown Santa 5K Run/Walk and Kids K. The
Brown Santa race will be held at the Travis County Exposition Center and
proceeds will benefit the Travis County Sheriff's Brown Santa Program. For

Run is Sunday December 7, 2008 starting at 8:00am.
Central Texas Harley Davidson Toy Run....its time to ride for the kids!
This years Harley Davidson Toy Run will be on Sunday December 14,
2008. Registration begins at 9:00am at Central Texas Harley Davidson located at 804 East Braker Lane at IH 35. The ride will depart at 12pm
from Central Texas Harley and end at Detours Bar and Grill located on
FM 620. Once at Detours there will be live music, great food, hot and
cold beverages, and holiday shopping.
A donation enters you to win a gift card to CTHD, to be given away
at Detours. You must be present to win.
The entry fee will be $10.00 per motorcycle or vehicle, or a new
unwrapped toy, or $10.00 of non perishable food items, BENEFITING
the Travis County Sheriff's Brown Santa.
Come early for free breakfast donated by Rudy's Country Store and
Bar-B-Q. KLBJ will also be there.

CE-BAR Volunteer Fire Department Inc.
Located at 353 S. Commons Ford Road will be doing a
"Fill the Boot" fund raiser on December 13 and 14 if you are in the area please
help "Fill the Boot".
There will also be a Brown Santa Barrels for any toys that may be donated during
the weekend.
All donations will be given to Travis County Brown Santa.
